Merry Christmas one and all!!

Man I have been really bad at blogging lately! One of my many New Years goals is to keep up on my blogging! :) We'll see...

 Merry Christmas!

I was so excited when it snowed in Utah! I love the snow and the way it makes the trees look! I can't wait to take Brix to the cabin for sledding!

Brixton actually likes this Santa! He is the most realistic. (I think)
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! We sure did, we made it to both Grandparents and all for 4 Great's!! Dino sure did enjoy his presents! He opened maybe one or two of his presents at a time and then played with them and forgot to open the rest. Mommy and Daddy did most of the opening of Brixton's presents! Our parents are too good to us! They got us everything and more!
Early morning present opening! (Weston was
pulling faces at Brixton!)

Brixton is giving Rex a dental cleaning with his new tools!
I had a really terrible headache from yesterday that dragged on to today. I tried to work through all of our visiting and dinners and it finally started to go away at the end of the day. I'm so glad, now that I can play with my little man and not be grumpy all day!

Ok so I haven't been blogging...I've been doing everything else!!

Two weekends ago Colby, Brixton and I (plus Grimm) went to Primm for the Marine Corps Birthday Ball. It's pretty awesome they do it every year, it's like Prom for grow ups, well sort of grow ups. Drunk Marines do not = grow ups! This year we asked Colby's parents to join us and Weston and Kylie to babysit Brixton for a couple hours. We got all glammed up and went to the ball, there is a ceremony and a cutting of the cake and a speaker then you eat and then dancing. It was a little short lived but it was
great!

Then we spent the whole weekend with the Thompson's! It was great! We went to Bass Pro Shop's and walked around.
There was dog jumping competitions going on out front.

We drove up and down the strip looking for ESPN Zone, we even went in New York New York trying to find it but just our luck it had been changed to something else! That was fine because if we did eat there we would have never found the little desert place!! YUMMM!
That was a good weekend! Thanks G & G Thompson for coming out and Thanks Weston and Kylie for watching our little one!

Last weekend
G & G Hill, Cj and Kimber my 3 lil sisters and the Maddon's met us in Pomona for the weekend! It is so awesome that we got to see both sets of Grandparents in a matter of days!!
Friday night we went to eat at King's Fish House (which also has steak) for Colby's birthday which is actually today!!
All of Saturday was devoted to Disneyland and California Adventure Land! It was a pretty long day, we got there when it opened and my family stayed until it closed! Colby, Brixton and I went home around 9, it was past our bed time!

Our cute family!

 "The happiest place on earth"
Colby, Brixton, Grandpa Hill and I went on the Safari Adventure Ride. His 1st ride at Disneyland!

He wasn't sure about it, he kept looking at everything but never let go of the bar!
The next ride we all went on was Pirates of the Caribbean, bad idea. Brixton did not like any part of that ride. He started crying after the 1st drop and didn't stop until we got off.
We did have a blast at Disneyland but the only ride Brixton really liked was "It's a Small World" of course.

He loved all the dancers and funny little animals and the music. It was Christmas/It's a Small World, very catchy.
The thing he loved most about Disneyland though was...

The bubble blowing machine G&G Hill got for him!!!

Sunday the girls and Brixton did some shopping while the boys and Allie went to the races! All in all it was a great weekend!
Thanks G&G Hill and my family and the Maddon's for coming out!

If my laptop had a face I would kick it's teeth in!!!!

I'm so fuming mad about my laptop! Since yesterday it's had a melt down every time I try to use it! So I'm using Colby's! I was trying all night to post pictures of our Halloween, oh well the day after won't hurt anything right?

Hallooooweeen!!
Brixton's loot!
He didn't understand trick or treating and he didn't need a whole bag full of candy.
He couldn't figure out why everyone was dresses so weird and he would just stare at people with painted faces.
Brixton was a little skeleton man! He would NOT wear a mask and I tried to put some black around his eyes...it didn't work. So he was just a super cute little skeleton!

Baby Mikey as the worlds cutest banana!!!
Miss Lily has Dorothy!! She is so adorable!

Dad and Brixton enjoying some bottle caps!
Grandma Hill, Mommy, Brixton going trick or treating!
My boy's make the best faces! We had a great time, maybe next year Brix will get it!

Pumpkin pickin'

(Colby and Brixton were sharing sixlets)
Ok so this isn't a pumpkin pickin' picture but I thought it was so cute I had to put it on! I made Brixton's shirt when I was home and it fits him so well because he DOES bite!
The military community we live in had a pumpkin pickin'/bounce house/trick or treating party. It was pretty nice, we just walked out our back porch and there it was.
What's better then trick or treat candy??
Brixton's very own carton of popcorn, he is just like his dad. They both love popcorn.

He found the perfect little pumpkin.
It's small enough he can carry it and maybe big enough we could try to carve it.

That was a quick trip.

Brixton and I were up in Utah for almost 2 weeks, but now we are home. The drive is getting worse and worse. I don't like it at all. The barn boutique was fun, but I don't think I'll be doing it next year. ;) I actually bought a super cute headband from my competitor! What ya going to do?? I love it! Right before we came home we celabrated G & G Hill's 50th wedding anniversary! It was great to see the family, I can't get enough of the families!! It's hard being so far away. We did get some great pictures of Brixton and Reese visiting the cows by the fire station and by the pumpkins.

Reese is fearless when the cows came over. She even picked the cows nose! It was pretty funny, her mommy didn't enjoy that at all. Brixton wasn't sure what to think of the stinky cows!

Waiting for the cows to come over. Reese was ready and waiting. Brixton need some encouragement for Auntie Shelbi.

Adorable Reese in one of the red ridding hood capes I sold at the boutique. She looks so dang cute it them!

I've be busy!

So I finished all my Barn Boutique items. I set them up last Thursday night at the old Mapleton City Building. I have been checking once a day just make sure that our booth doesn't need to be stocked or organized. So far it's going slow, Colby had the great idea to make tea cup pin cushions and he has sold 2 already!! Way to go Colby!!
But on another note...
I went with my family on Saturday to collect wood for the winter. I loved it! It was great, you cut down the dead tree and chop it and stack it in the bed of the truck.
Brix's favorite part was riding in the rhino!
the colors are so beautiful this time of year.
I was so much fun. I love being country! I wish we lived in Utah, for the weather and they beautiful scenery and to be closer to our families of course.
Today Brix and I got some chores done and played outside until the awesome rain storm this afternoon.
Brixton loved playing in the garden, he thinks he can just pick everything. (since Shelbi let him pick a tomato)
When I couldn't see him anymore I walked down to the garden to see what he was doing and he was secretly trying to pick at the plants.

Mom I'm right here!!

It's like a weight was lifted

So this weekend I worked really hard and had tons of help from Colby and finished more of my "inventory". I'm super happy because I feel a little relieved! I'm feel better about selling and I even have another boutique I'm going to be selling in the end of October. YAHOO!!!
So one of my projects I finished is the little girl capes...
"Cup-capes"
Displayed so you can see both sides.
Now displayed like "cup-capes"
Haha I was pretty proud when I came up with that. :)
Also made these cute winter flowers.

Last but not least Colby made a few things... he is getting really good. I might just have to have him work with me!
Yes Colby did make both of the little pin cushions in the picture. He is so creative and very good at making these pin cushions. :) I know he'll be happy that I'm sharing with everyone that he is making crafts on the side but I had to!

Base Carnival

Colby, Brixton and I went to the base carnival on Saturday for some fun in the hot hot sun! It was really nice, you can't beat free food, and free games for the kids. They had bounce houses and pony rides, I felt really bad for the poor little ponies it was hot out there. I wouldn't want screaming little kids trying to kick my in the sides. Brixton just liked looking at the ponies so we just got pictures.

We also rode on the Ferris wheel. Brixton really liked that, it wasn't a very big one but it was pretty fun.

We had lots of fun, but it was during Brixton's nap time and he had-had it after the Ferris Wheel so we headed home.
Of course on the ride home Brix passed out! It was a good family day!

beautiful morning

Lately the weather in the morning has been awesome! We can get out of the house and play at the park. So Brix and I walked around Luckie Park, and played at the playground.
things we saw/did at the park
*Brix said "hi" to everyone we passed.
*went down the "big boy" slide by himself.
*saw a humming bird.
*tried to chase down a little girl to give her a hug.

We both really enjoyed the park today. I wish everyday was this nice. Hopefully by November 29 will be cooled down.

My little stud is still have asleep. Look at his hair!!

I'm losing track of time...

Man, I have never use to lose track of time like this. It must be because I'm a mom. Weekdays and weekends don't mean anything to me, they are all the same days. Don't get me wrong, I love being a mommy and being with Brix, I'm just saying that the days just mesh together sometimes.
I've been working hard on trying to get my "inventory" ready for the Barn Boutique, it doesn't work well when Brix is awake. He likes to have someone to play with, maybe I need to do more play dates?? He loves my sewing machine too, none of his toys mean anything to him when I get it out. So I try to work during his 1-1.5 hours of nap time. Lol needless to say I don't get much done. :)
Last week for Labor Day we had Grandma & Grandpa Thompson out! I know they love seeing us and of course baby Brix but I just feel for them when they have to drive that far! It was a good weekend, Colby had a 96, he went golfing with his dad and Chris and Brix and I went shopping in Rancho Mirage. For Brix of course! Grandma and mommy love to spoil Brix!! I got essentials this time though, no toys, just new shoes and a very small portion of chilly clothes. Right now it's still 90 and sunny so we don't need winter clothes just yet. While we were down the hill, Colby and his dad put the "big boy" side rail for Brixton's bed. Transforming it from a crib to a toddler bed, we modified it though. We didn't use the typical white mesh side rail for Wal-Mart, we went vintage. With a 1/2 rod iron railing that matches his bed perfectly, Colby and his dad just painted some wood to match and help attach it to the bed.
I'm really proud of Colby because he came up with the idea, he brought the railing home and put it all together with his dad! Yahoo for Daddy's!!
