Over the weekend

I decided to make myself a Mother's Day corsage. I found an awesome tutorial online, put Brixton down for a nap and went for it! For my fabric I unpicked an old bag that I had made (that I didn't like any more) I used 3 different colors: white for the mum, stripes for the lily and green/pink for the leaves.
(add pinking shears)
Then using a hot coco mug traced the circles and cut them out. You need 6 of the stripes, 6 of the white and 4 of the green. Then you sew the stripes together leaving a little room to turn right side out, Same with the green. Leave the white until later.

Turn them right side out and fold the stripes in have and wrap around each other to look like a lily and hand stitch together. For the leaves I just fan folded them and stitched at the bottom. Stitch the lily and leaves together. Using pinking shears, cut around the white fabric, then fold one in 4th's and all the others in halfs and stitch together. Now stitch all layers together.

I stitched on a pin and hot glued felt to the back. Mess with it until you are happy. I'm still messing with mine but I wanted to share. If anyone would like to see the real pattern let me know and I'll try and find it for you! :)
