Easter in UT

So Brixton, Grim and I drove to Utah on the 24th of March. The drive is getting better every time I drive it. It's just super boring when its just me!! I don't have anyone to talk to. And you can only listen to the same songs on the ipod so many times!! But we finally made it to UT on the 25th!!
We had Brixton's 1st Birthday party with the Thompson's the next day!

It was very very messy and that night he had a very upset lil tummy!! But he sure enjoyed it!!
We did an Easter Egg Hunt at my parents ward! It was good, Brix really just like watching all the kids running around he really didn't get it. Plus it was FREEZING so he had his huge coat on and it made it hard to pick things up without falling over.

Brixton is going to be very spoiled. He had gifts waiting for him when he got to Ut. My parents got him a Red Radio Flyer Wagon. Shebli and I sat down and put it together, it was awesome to watch us do that. But we finally got it together and he loves it! We pulled him all over the house because there was SNOW on the ground in UT. So while I was pulling him my sister thought she should be pulled around also....

aahahahahahhahahahaha!!!! I couldn't help myself!

Out at the bon fire!!

Cher & Brixton. She loves his him!!

Me Maddy and C.j. hunting for Easter Eggs at Granny Hatty's!!!

Back from Utah...and still craftin'

Well Brixton, Allie and I made our way back to 29 Palms on Monday!! That drive is a killer!! It's not fun but it sure it worth it! We get to see everyone and I find new things to do everywhere I go!! :)
When I was home I took a rug hooking class and it was awesome!! That is some serious work! I think my project took me about 2 1/2 days. Shelbi is still working on hers...

I went to the Corn Wagon with my grandma for more supplies and left with another rug hooking project and signed up for a bag making class!! :)

I actually use it as a diaper bag! I love it. If you are like me, you love pockets! I made extra pockets on the inside of the bag. It feels really cool to pack around something you made! :)
I also made a fat quater bag, its going to be awesome for when we go to the beach at the end of the month. It's huge and holds a ton!!

Sorry if you thought I was done!! But I'm just getting started!!! :)
Millie (hairstylist in Ut) put some of my crochet headbands in her shop, all but a few sold. Now that summer is around the corner I have started making lil flowers to put in hair or on headbands.

Those are just a few that I'm sending to Millie to see how they will do. It's really hard trying to find things to make that would be for a little boy! :) It's like girls and accessories just go together!!! I'll find something though!!
My final project I'll show you is my Easter skirt!

I found an awesome book called '101 things to make with a yard of fabric' and I love it. That's where this skirt came from. I love it, I'm still learning how to sew but practice makes perfect.

Maybe I should have been a doctor....

Brixton and I spent the last 2 weeks up in Utah! It was freezing cold! I can't believe how fast you forget how cold it gets. Cold for us is about 45!! :) I was going to take a sewing class while home, that was the whole reason to stay up there for 2 weeks. But turned out that my Auntie Kerrie took some time and showed me what I needed to know, so no class. I do however have another class I can't wait to take next month (Rug hooking).

I can't wait, I'm so excited!!

Well I'm a little irritated, Brixton scratched his ear sometime on last Saturday or Sunday. That small scratch turned into a very red and mad looking ear. I thought he had an ear infection so Monday I took him to a doctor in Utah and she said there was an infection and sent us home with antibiotics. His poor little ear started to look better and then Thursday it was like the antibiotic stopped working, so Friday we got in before we got on the road to drive home. We saw a different doctor who gave us a different and stronger antibiotic. Then we were on our way in the snow and rain!! We made it to St. George Friday night and drove the rest of the way on Saturday. That drive is a pain in the butt!!! So Monday I called to change our doctor in 29 from the Naval Hospital to a civilian doctor. Because when I called to make a recheck appt for Brixton's ear they said next month would be the soonest I could get in. That didn't work for me, I changed doctors and got an appt for today!! Our new doctor is great! It will be nice to see the same doctor each time! So our new doctor tells us that Brixton has Infantigo!!! Yeah awesome!!! So for those of you that don't know what it is it's also known as Impetigo (sometimes impetaigo) is a superficial bacterial skin infection. Our poor little man. We have a topical antibiotic now and a recheck appt in a week. So I'll keep you posted on how that goes. He is not letting this get him down, if anything he is into everything even more!!! I can't believe him, he is a true blue boy!!
I hope everyone else is having a better week!!

Our little man!

Some times I'm a crappy shot when I take pictures but other times I take pictures and they turn out pretty good! I thought this pic of Baby Brix was just so cute!! I had to share!!!

I can't believe how my days get so mixed up!! I guess because I'm with Brixton all day every day and unless he has an appt I don't need to know what day it is. The only way I know it's the weekend is when Colby doesn't go to work the next morning! Ha that is so sad!

I can't wait to come home in Feb, I have tons of stuff planned to do. I'll be taking a sewing class while in Ut and I'm so excited!!! I got a book of 101 things to sew with a yard of fabric, they are stinking cute things too! My girlfriend said she will stop by and show me how to thread my machine and everything else. I know it's sad!! I took sewing classes in school and I don't remember anything! Isn't that how life works though? You don't listen to people when you are younger and when you grow up you are kicking yourself wishing that you listened to what they had to say!!

So today Colby told me that "our" new 55" tv will be here in 7 days!! WHAT!?! This man and his gadgets! I don't know where are going to sit when he puts the tv up, the one we have now feels big to me. Hopefully I'll be gone when it comes, so we don't have to bicker over where its going to go. Oh our poor little house, its a lot smaller then our 1st house in 29. He are running out of places to put things!! I'm looking forward to leaving 29 in the future and hopefully getting a bigger house! (somewhere)

weekend visitors!

So this weekend we had Colby parents come stay with us. They came in on Friday a little after 1 then we went to John's Place to grab something to eat after that Chris and I had pedi's. Oh that was so nice. I don't think I have treated myself since Brixton was born!! (well actually Chris treated! Thank you again! You are too good to me!) The next day I had a baby shower and then Colby & Brixton and his parents picked me up and we went down to Cabazon Outlets for some shoppin' after we went to dinner. On the last day we went to the base for some clearance shopping (the best!!) then to the home store where Chris & Mike got Brixton a mini drill because he loves Colby's drill. We made our way home and they got packed up to leave... we hate to see them leave but Brixton & I will be up in a few weeks to see everyone soon.
Chris & Mike:
Thanks for coming down to visit us!! We love you guys!!

Brown Bumble Bee

I am so happy that I get to show everyone now....
These headbands looked so cute when I made them but when Kylie wears them, they look so much better!!!! She is so adorable!!! She is a little spitfire!! Thank you Jackie!! I would love to make something for Brix but I can't find anything right now. So I guess I'll just make girlie things until then.

The headband are for sale and I have adult & children sizes so if you are interested let me know.
